Guess who I met?

Well for some of you this may seem silly but to a little girl who grew up singing Amy Grants songs her whole life and wishing she could be her and meet her some day its HUGE!! So go ahead and laugh but I was excited!!! Yes, I went to Amy's concert last night and of course I was like a little kid all over again. My Aunt Amy took me to my first concert which was A.G. so I think her and I where the most exuberant. Singing every song along and standing up dancing!
We didn't have plans to meet A.G. yet always when going to a concert it is in the back of your head? This night was no different. I happened to see this little girl ask one of her song writers who was signing cds ( he had an album too) if A.G. was going to be coming out. He said probably outside. So being the nosy girl that I am I told our group we have to follow this girl she is looking for A.G. By this time its almost 10 p.m. (Poor Grandma- she was a trooper though) So we walked around to the back and found her big RV! The people in the band kept coming out and they were very friendly and came over to us and asked if we liked the show etc.. I asked one of the guitar players for a pic for Pres and he gave me a really cool one. We waited about 45 min. and then she came out. We clapped for her and it didn't look like she was going to stop and the little girl I mentioned earlier ran around the barricade and gave her a big hug. It was so cute. A.G. was soooo nice and patient. She came over and signed autographs and took picts with all of us! Definitely a night to remember. Her music always inspires me to want to serve my savior! Well now that you have had a good laugh at my expense go find an old Amy Grant album and see how the memories just come flooding back. Oh yeah another great thing is I saw my friend Paula and her mom there so I know there is at least one person who feels the same as me! Paula I am bummed you missed meeting A.G. Next time for sure!!

That is so great! I am an Amy dork right along with you! The old lady next to me was glad I was singing along to every song so that she could understand the words!

That is so funny. Tony told me this story this morning and I had to come check your blog to see if pics were up. :-)

Amy Grant brings back bad memories for me.

I was on my way in an RV to an Amy Grant concert with a junior high youth group when I got busted with a bunch of wine coolers.

So...as you can imagine it's painful.
