Balboa Park

We had to go down to San Diego to get Peyton his uniforms for school next year. Yes, that's right you read correctly. Peyton will be attending The Santa Rosa Academy for 6th grade. His first time ever at "real" school. We are excited for this new adventure and to see what God has in store. Anyways since we were down that way we decided to head over to Balboa Park for some nice pb and j's and a little sight seeing. ( Actually I had planned that we would do the "free" musuems but come to find out that is only for San Diego residents- oops!) It was fun just walking around though and exploring all the cool areas of that place. The Zorro garden is beautuful and the trees are gargatuan ( as Preston would say) ! Beautuful butterfliles are all around. We stopped into the Japenese friendship house for some interesting ice tea and something called mochi. It was an interesting little ball of strawberry ice cream covered with a gummy like substance. The boys didn't really care for it. So I just had to stop on the way home and get them a good old sundae from McDonalds. I am hoping to get back that way for the free concerts. The outdoor ampitheatre is amazing.
