Adventures in Thai

So Tony and I headed out for our Friday date night. I wanted to go check out the part of the shopping mall and have dinner. I had meet some friends about a month ago at a Thai restaurant and loved there basil chicken. Plus its gluten free and that is always a plus for me so I don't have to ask twenty questions about all the ingredients. Tony was game. He wasn't that hungry so we decided just to share the chicken dish and I decided we might as well get an appetizer too. I saw the spring rolls and thought oh yum! The above picture is what I thought we were getting....
We ended up with something like this. Imagine cold rice paper with tofu, lettuce, basil, mint etc. Along with that a side of peanut butter to dip them in. Now some of you might think this looks great or maybe you have had some and loved it. We would of rather had ours fried . Tony was disgusted. Poor cowboy Tony! I think I got about 3 bites out of it. It tastes like we were eating grass! I did love the chicken and brown rice. Oh yum! It was an adventure to say the least.
