Parenting Conference

This past weekend we went to a parenting conference held at our church. The speaker was author, Paul Tripp. We throughly enjoyed it and the day went by so fast. He challenged us in many ways. One thing that stood out to me was the in the area of dealing with our children"s hearts. Instead of just being focused on their behavior and trying to correct that, we need to be more concerned with where their hearts are at. In light of that we need to start with our own hearts so we don't stand in the way. Constantly exposing the hearts of children takes time and patience. Much of what I don't seem to have a lot of.
